Volunteers

Volunteers

Words and pictures cannot convey the level of destruction in Western North Carolina and East Tennessee from Hurricane Helene.  Entire towns are just gone.  Entire farms, with generations of history and hundreds of acres of rich fertile river bottoms are… gone.  Debris and piles of river stone are all that remain.  It’s just heartbreaking.  As I type this, hundreds of souls are still missing.

On a personal note, we are lucky.  The location of our farm is such that the devastating floods did not reach us.  We had a total of 9.25” of rain in the gauge in my front yard, but we were spared the water’s wrath.  Many others were not so fortunate.

Many of our friends and family are helping as best we can.  Donating.  Collecting and transporting food and supplies to local churches and other distribution points.    Delivering supplies by UTV to areas inaccessible otherwise.   It will take years to rebuild.

I ask anyone who reads this to help in any way you can.

We are Volunteers.  It’s what we do.
